Forecast Discussion
Currently, the temperature is in the low 70s and will decrease to around 60 degrees. It should remain partly cloudy and sunny throughout the evening and stay clear into Friday. Friday will be a little more cloudy as some upper air divergence will cause some clouds to form but no precipitation is expected with highs around 85 degrees. A low system moved through the area last Wednesday June 18th which caused some precipitation and wind throughout the Midwest. However, this low will give the atmosphere the ingredients to pull air from the southwest in an extreme heat wave. Starting on Saturday, the temperature will go north of 90 degrees and continue to ride the warm southernly flow until well into next week. Not many clouds are expected in the next few days as well which will cause this increased heating so please be careful of the temperature and make sure you are prepared during this heat wave like drinking more fluids and having access to A/C as much as possible.
