Forecast Discussion

An upper-level trough will be parking itself over the Great Lakes for the next couple days, bringing cooler weather to the region into the weekend. Clouds persist tomorrow as a result of weak upward motion with this trough, and as result of the cloud cover, highs will struggle to hit the upper 50s. A lingering light shower may also persist, even through Saturday, although clouds will begin to break up by then courtesy of a brief area of high pressure. However, the reprieve will be short-lived as another system begins working in for Sunday into Monday, this one potentially posing the threat of prolonged showers and widespread heavy rainfall.
