Clouds will decrease some throughout the day today as an upper-level ridge progresses eastward over the Ohio Valley with high-pressure building at the surface. Due to low-level moisture at the ground, clouds will still linger throughout the weekend with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. Accompanied with southerly flow, highs can climb into the low to mid-60s Sunday and early next week. A broad trough associated with an occluded midlatitude cyclone over Canada will move through on Monday bringing along a cold front in the evening bringing along a chance of rain showers.

However, another developing midlatitude cyclone from the Plains will move northeast transitioning into a warm front moving over our area on Tuesday. The low-pressure system will become cut-off and occluded allowing for slower progression and much colder air to settle in behind the system. A cold front will move through Wednesday, but the occluded low will stick around in northern Ohio allowing northerly flow and cold air advection to occur later in the week. As of right now, rain chances will persist through Wednesday evening before chances of possible snow to end the week. Stay tuned for future forecasts.
