Forecast Discussion
A cold front that passed through our area last night is going to bring our daytime high down as the day progresses. The high temperature is only 46, which interestingly will just start to decrease throughout the day today afternoon. Chances for rain showers will be present today, but late this evening as those temperatures dip down to freezing and below, we will see chances for snow flurries. Thankfully, you should be able to just enjoy them as travel impacts are expected to be minimal. Monday, we will start to see a decrease in clouds as a strong and strengthening surface high pressure takes hold over the Appalachians.
As the week progresses, a very strong high-pressure system will continue to dominate, but from Tuesday into Wednesday, a dry cold front is expected to drop the daytime high again, but only into the mid-40s. Expect sunny skies and a high at or close to 50! Looks like nice weather to stay inside and study before finals week starts tomorrow, and then hopefully you can enjoy the nice outdoor weather after you ace those exams!
