Forecast Discussion
Higher pressure has settled into our area, and clear skies overnight will plunge our nighttime lows all the way down to the high 30s tonight! For that reason, the National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for our area. Tomorrow, sunny skies return to make for a daytime high near 68 degrees, and clouds throughout the day will remain minimal. Thursday night, for those paying close attention to the skies, the Aurora may be visible in more rural areas! However, temperatures will plunge to the low 30s, so bundle up if you plan to go watch. A slight warmup in our temperatures will begin Friday into the weekend as we enter some zonal upper-level flow, with highs reaching around 73 degrees on Friday.
Through the weekend, cloud cover increases as a cold front stalls out north of our location. Temperatures will remain warm in the upper 70s on Saturday and Sunday, though a slight chance of rain will develop on Sunday as a cold front from a midlatitude cyclone pushes into the region. Monday as a result will see a major cooldown to the low 60s, with a few more clouds lingering throughout the day.
