Forecast Discussion

Ohio is in for a classic mid-latitude cyclone setup this weekend. While high pressure dominates keeping things nice and clear today, a warm front will lift through, bringing lots of moisture and instability into the region, as well as some more breezy winds out of the south. As the low-pressure system moves in from the west, a cold front will sweep through sometime on Saturday bringing showers and thunderstorms with it. Temperatures are also expected to drop down into the low-50s.

Through the extended period, the surface low is expected to linger as it has already begun to occlude, providing enough lift for showers to stick around into the early parts of next week. Temperatures will also roughly stay the same with a slight warming trend into the high-50s expected.
