An upper level low pressure is here and bringing in lot of moisture from the south and this is what will shape soggy end to work week into first half of weekend. By Saturday afternoon, we will likely pick up 1”-2” of rain totals for entire southeastern Ohio. Believe it or not, we actually need to rainfall as there is slight drought are is not too far away as it is just south of Ohio river. Going back to tonight, we will have waves of showers and thunderstorms with warm front eventually nearing us by sunrise. Rain becomes more scattered and we are able to destabilize our atmosphere a bit. By Friday evening, some strong thunderstorms will be able to develop with primary risk of isolated wind and hail damage for entire region. There is a small tornado threat for our southern areas in Megis, Lawrence, Galia, and Jackson counties. Weak cold front passes us Saturday evening and we dry things out for Mother’s day with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will be quite seasonal so any outdoor plans are looking to great weather wise. By start of next week, we slowly start to warm with 80’s returning by Tuesday and dry trends continuing.
