Forecast Discussion
A cut-off upper level low sitting over the Ohio and Mississippi Valleys is bringing in humid Gulf air into the region, and will continue to do so for the next 48 hours or so. As a result, scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder will remain in the forecast through the overnight hours Friday into Saturday, as skies remain mostly cloudy through this period. However, as a longwave ridge engulfs this cut-off low, clouds will begin clearing out and a calmer pattern will begin setting in for the early part of next week. Temperatures, meanwhile, will remain quite warm for this time of year, feeling almost summer-like with the humidity as highs soar from the upper 70s Friday and Saturday to the lower 80s by next week.
