Forecast Discussion

An upper-level trough moving across the region has ushered in the first blast of fall weather for the season. This trend will continue tonight as skies clear and lows dip into the mid 40s, but sunshine and increasing southerly flow will bring warming temperatures beginning tomorrow. Tomorrow will be very pleasant, with temperatures in the low 70s, plenty of sun, light winds, and low humidity. However, clouds will quickly be on the increase Friday night into Saturday as a cold front approaches, re-introducing the chance for showers and an isolated thunderstorm for the day Saturday. After the front’s passage, high pressure is expected to restore calm and seasonable conditions to the region.
