Southerly flow will help advect a lot of moisture and warm air from the Gulf into the region, fueling the widespread showers expected. Currently, models suggest an inch and a half to two inches of rain will fall in this period. Afternoon highs are also expected to go up into the low 60s by Thursday and remain in the 50s through the rest of the week.
