Forecast Discussion

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issues a wind chill advisory until 1:00 PM Thursday.

A trough in the polar jet, allowing arctic air to spill into the region, will move out of the area Friday night into Saturday. A surface low, combined with a warm front will bring snow showers into the region tonight into tomorrow. General snow accumulations of 1-3 inches are possible, with higher amounts in the northern part of Athens county. As the warm front lifts north, temperatures will rise, and become more seasonable. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s
