Forecast Discussion

Throughout the rest of today and into tomorrow afternoon, Athens will be under the effects of a high pressure system. This is going to result in moderate temperatures and calm conditions. High temperatures will be in the 50s for the next two days and it will remain relatively warm the rest of the week. Starting Wednesday evening, a low pressure system will begin to replace the high pressure system that is currently over the area.  A cold front will be associated with this low pressure which will bring rain showers into the Southeast Ohio area on Thursday. That being said, this low pressure system and cold front will move through relatively quickly as it will be replaced with another high pressure system Friday evening resulting in fair conditions for this weekend.
