Forecast Discussion

A cold front passage late yesterday brought a significant relief from the heat and humidity today as dewpoints dip back into the 40s and temperatures peak around 70. Cool overnight temperatures in the lower 40s are expected as cloud coverage mostly dissipates from the high pressure system to our north. An upper-level ridging pattern will quickly put us in a warming trend for the weekend however, with highs climbing back into the upper-70s Saturday and Sunday. An occluded low pressure system will provide chances for rain on Sunday, which will then swing another cold frontal boundary through the region and cool us down heading into the beginning of the work week.
