Forecast Discussion

Low level moisture will roll into the region throughout today, bringing thick clouds that should start to clear up after the afternoon. The upper level pattern is pretty stable currently, so chances for precip today are slim. Tomorrow a cold front will approach our area throughout the day, passing over us in the evening. This will cut through the fresh moisture and give us rain and storms from late evening into Sunday morning. We find ourselves in a marginal risk for excessive rainfall during this time period, so the highest risk with these storms will be some flash flooding. Temps after the cold front passes will fall into the upper 70s as we dry out, and they are expected to remain this way through early next week.
