Forecast Discussion

Over the course of the next week, a more quiet weather pattern is setting up with a mix of clouds and sun and drier and warmer conditions. High temperatures will start climbing from the upper-30s to upper-40s by mid-week, which is more seasonal for this time of year. Zonal flow aloft will keep weather patterns persistent with a trough to the north keeping some clouds in the vicinity. A cold front will move through Sunday morning allowing for clouds to increase, but no precipitation is expected with the lack of moisture present. High-pressure will settle in for Monday bringing plenty of sunshine. A low-pressure system will move southeast towards the Great Lakes region Tuesday and Wednesday, but most precipitation will stick to the northeast with a mix of sun and clouds. Due to the warm-up, most snowpack is expected to melt during this time as temperatures begin to rise above freezing.
