Forecast Discussion

Heat and humidity will continue hold its ground today in our area with chance of afternoon storms returning after dry Saturday. As we move into evening and overnight hours, the threat of storms do not completely go away with morning lows in lower 70’s. We will hit 90°F one last time today before cold front approaches our area tomorrow and interact with remains of Hurricane Ida. Rain and storm chances will start to become more widespread in our area from Monday afternoon and continue through first part of Wednesday. There is potential for flooding in our area early this week as we may see decent rainfall amounts. The cold front will finally clear out our area later on Wednesday into Thursday and bring an end to heavy rainfall, heat, and humidity for us with plenty of sunshine.
