Forecast Discussion

Calmer conditions are expected today and most of the upcoming work week. Temperatures are expected to remain bitterly cold today, only reaching the mid-teens during the day before dropping into the single digits overnight. Winds around 10 mph will make any time outdoors even colder, so please make sure you bundle up if you plan on being outside today. Thankfully, temperatures are expected to steadily warm this week as warmer air from the south moves into the region. Because of this, we may see temperatures back into the mid-40s and possibly even the lower-50s. With this warmer air comes the possibility for rain to return by Thursday as another system pushes eastward over the state. Overall, pleasant conditions will follow after snow yesterday with the chance for a much-welcomed warm-up as we progress through the week.
