The daytime today promises to be warm and springlike once again, but make sure you get a chance to enjoy it! Tonight we’re expecting a cut-off low pressure system to pass through the region, giving us a rain-snow mix. Precipitation will begin late this evening, at about 10pm and will start off as rain for most of the night. Then, the rain will transition to snow as the morning arrives. Precipitation amount is tricky, but model guidance is leading us to forecast for minimal snow accumulation through tonight since it would appear the heaviest precipitation will remain to our Southeast. Due to the arrival of this system, expect high winds through today and tonight.

Following the precipitation tonight, tomorrow promises to be somewhat nice, although much colder than what we have been seeing. Then by the night, expect temperatures to be in the 20s as winter arrives once again. This week promises to be rainy as a whole, with more rain expected Thursday evening, and again on Friday evening where another mixed-precipitation system will arrive in the area, with little snow accumulation.
