Forecast Discussion

A disturbance that brought some snow flurries is exiting the region, making way for a brief period of high pressure which will allow for nice and clear conditions today and tomorrow. However, an embedded shortwave trough is going to bring a surface low-pressure system to the region that will bring in some colder air and moisture leading to rain showers turning to snow over the weekend. As outlined in the National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Outlook, this system could cause some localized travel impacts with slick spots as rain/snow mix falls starting later tomorrow night into Saturday.

Sunday, precipitation will change back to a rain/snow mix as the temperature warms up, but all precipitation should taper off before noon. To start the week, some clouds will likely stick around, but high pressure will dominate before the next system moves in. Enjoy the nice weather today while it lasts!
