Forecast Discussion
Today, there’s a ridging pattern building up, that will lead to some nice, unseasonably warm weather, though it will be colder than yesterday. Currently, a strong disturbance is nested to the South of the region, which will be heading in our direction today. Tonight, expect the arrival of this low pressure system, and its associated warm front. This warm front will bring high temperatures all the way into the 60s for tomorrow. Tomorrow, we’re also expecting very gusty winds, due to the strong difference in pressure from today and tomorrow, and the high chance that winds aloft will affect the surface.
Following the warm front passage, expect another cold front by Thursday evening, where the chance exists for some mixed precipitation to occur, since the expected temperature is sitting right around the freezing mark. Regardless, though, it will be colder for the weekend following the passage of the front. This weekend, we’ll likely see a warming trend starting Sunday, as we’re expecting a ridging pattern to begin building up once again.
