Forecast Discussion
We are in setting in for a dry, but cool pattern for the next several days. Dominant northwesterly flow will pump this cooler and drier polar air into our area Wednesday and Thursday. Dew points will be very low with high temperatures struggling to reach out of the low 50s through Friday. High pressure will dominate much of the region as a closed high will shift across the Great Lakes by Wednesday giving the region clear and these cooler conditions. By Friday afternoon, a shortwave trough associated with a weak low will bring the potential for rain showers late Friday and into much of Saturday. Mostly cloudy and cool conditions with the risk for more rain showers will continue throughout the Halloween weekend and into early next week with another troughing pattern setting up.
