Forecast Discussion
After the system passing early this morning, high pressure has begun to set in, which will bring dry conditions for the next few days. Cooler temperatures can also be expected for the next week and especially into the weekend with this plunge of polar air. We are still under the base of this longwave trough that is set up across the country, but zonal flow looks to dominate. As the system treks further northeast, we will continue to feel its affect this afternoon as winds will reach 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30mph, but will weaken heading into the overnight hours. The next threat for more rain will be late Thursday into Friday. A cold front associated with a MLC is looking to push through Friday Afternoon bringing more moisture and rain. As the system passes early on Saturday, the chance for a snow flurry may be possible depending on the moisture present as the temperatures promote freezing.
