Forecast Discussion

A cold front passed through this morning, ushering in a new fall-like weather pattern. This morning’s rain has mostly moved out but a stray shower or two is still possible. Temperatures topped out at around 70 today and have begun falling, with the high for the afternoon looking to be around 63 degrees. Tonight, temperatures will keep falling to around 40 degrees as a colder air mass takes residence over the Mid-Atlantic. As we move into more seasonal weather for the next several days, we will see daily highs in the mid to upper 50s and lows in the 40s. Conditions will be largely dry, with shortwave troughing producing fronts and the possibility for some rain on Friday night and overnight on Sunday.
