Forecast Discussion

A warm front is currently creeping its way into our area, causing temperatures to slowly rise all day. This morning started out quite chilly, but the high for the day, around 38 degrees, will occur much later this afternoon. As the front passes through overnight, it will create the chance for some rain lasting into Friday. Temperatures should remain high enough that ice will not be an issue. Behind this front, temperatures will continue to rise, with highs in the 50s and 60s over the weekend. An occluding low pressure system currently over the Northern Plains will move into the area on Saturday, creating a substantial chance of rain for most of the day but will clear out for a warm and dry Sunday.
