Severe weather and high rainfall amounts are going to be the story over the next several days. Starting today, we are currently under a Slight (2/5) Risk of severe weather. We can expect a round of thunderstorms to pass through in the late morning, with damaging winds being the main threat. The next round of storms will come around dinnertime, with the main threat of damaging winds. With this, we are also under a Slight (2/4) Risk of excessive rainfall, with rainfall amounts up to half an inch possible.

Tuesday, we are under another Slight (2/5) risk for severe weather. A multi-round event will take place, with damaging winds being the main threat, plus a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. We are also under a Moderate (3/4) Risk of Excessive Rainfall. Over the whole day, some areas will exceed an inch and a half of rain. This amount of rain can cause lower elevations to flood. If you see a flooded roadway, turn around and seek higher ground.
