Forecast Discussion

As the fantastic weather of last week we are met with potential for scattered thunderstorms tonight and Friday. The way the jet stream sat last week, which is what caused out stable weather, is now shifting the opposite way. Disrupting and stirring up the atmosphere as this change moves in on us. There is also warm air being brought up from the south adding more energy into the system. However, these conditions are likely to cause scattered thunderstorms rather than one large system. the storm prediction center has us at a slight risk ( https://www.spc.noaa.gov/ ) into this evening. Wednesday the conditions calm, with clouds starting to roll in. Thursday into Friday a cold front comes through. Combined with the increase in moisture, the clouds are a indicator of this, you can expect more rain and possibly light storms as a result.
