A line of thunderstorms is currently approaching Southeast Ohio and will arrive in Athens by 10 PM. Some of these storms could have strong to damaging winds and some hail. An isolated brief tornado also cannot be ruled out so be sure to have a way to receive warnings just in case. This stormy activity will continue into the overnight hours with a few isolated and scattered showers and thunderstorms lingering in the area throughout the day on Sunday. Sunday night into Monday provides a brief break in the active weather before more chances for storms arrive starting on Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s and even the lower 90s later into the week, and additionally, the atmosphere will be fairly humid due to the rainfall received this weekend, and in the coming days next week. The weather will feel very summer-like with hot temperatures, humidity, and afternoon chances for pop-up thunderstorms throughout the week.
