The hottest day of the week is in store for us today as we can expect a high of around 89 degrees. Overnight tonight and into tomorrow, widespread showers and thunderstorms will enter the area ahead of a cold front. We are not outlooked for any severe risk however, some storms may be on the stronger side this evening. There is also a small risk for localized flash flooding as we are in a marginal risk (level 1 out of 4) excessive rainfall today and a slight risk (level 2 out of 4) for tomorrow as well. After the showers exit, we can expect sunny skies to return and cooler temperatures to end off the work week and enter the weekend. Another system will roll through this weekend bringing chances for isolated rain showers Saturday and Sunday.
