The wide-spread high pressure system that continues to dominate the eastern United States will keep skies mostly clear and sunny for the rest of the afternoon. Winds will remain calm through the evening, making for a pleasant start to our late-summer weekend and the Ohio Pawpaw Festival! The lack of cloud cover will give us little relief from the sun beating down this weekend, however, and help bring us highs in the upper-80s. These hot temperatures will bleed into the beginning of next week and continue to persist due to an apparent blocking ridge hovering over the central plains.
