Forecast Discussion

A strong ridging pattern is coming for us, associated with a strong low-level high pressure system which will give us a nice, summer-like weather pattern here in Southeast Ohio. This will bring us both clear skies and nice, warm temperatures over the next few days. Dew points will also be a little lower than they have been over the past few days, so it will feel much more comfortable outside despite the temperatures being higher than they have been over the past couple weeks.  During the nighttime hours, we will see rapid heating and cooling due to the absence of clouds, this will likely cause some fog in the morning hours each day, particularly tomorrow morning where we could see some areas of sense fog, especially in areas that are upslope to the mountains. Be cautious if you’re driving during the morning hours, and don’t be afraid to slow down and be cautious through the fog!

Looking ahead, we will see a similar pattern with the ridge, and a slight warming trend since Southwesterly flow will usher in some warmer and more moist air for us, we still do not expect any excessive heat for the region, but it will still be nice and warm.
