After a round of thunderstorms and severe weather, Memorial Day is expected to be rainy during the day. A cold front will pass through the region, and cause some moderate rain beginning around 11am to noon. Then, clouds will clear through the afternoon and we’ll get a steep drop in temperatures into tomorrow night. Expect a rapid warm-up after the sun rises tomorrow morning, and then another shortwave through will make its way through the region causing some isolated thunderstorms, these storms are not expected to be severe.

Following Tuesday, temperaures will drop off and we’ll see a persistent chance of thunderstorms and rain through the week due to the area receiving round after round of shortwave troughs. Then, beginning Thursday a high-pressure system will start to build, warming us up and keeping skies mostly clear.
