A large cold front has pushed through the region, spurring on plenty of morning rain. Cloudy conditions and a high 42 degrees is to be expected today, though a large cold snap is imminent. As arctic air fills into the region, tomorrow will only reach a high of 28 degrees, and snow is likely as a quick-developing low pressure system aims to clip the Southeast Ohio region. While there is still large uncertainty in the strength and rapidness of development, our area could receive 1-3 inches of snow, and additional flash freezing from the dropping temperatures is likely. A few snow showers are possible in the evening of Sunday as well, which will drop to a low of 0 degrees. Stay off the roads during this time, if possible.

An Extreme Cold Watch is in effect for our region from Sunday night to Wednesday morning. During this time, temperatures will linger between 10-20 degrees for the daytime highs, and drop to the negatives overnight. In addition, 5-10 mph winds could make for wind chills to -15 degrees. These are dangerous conditions! Minimize the amount of time you spend outside, and bundle up when going out. Thankfully, a return to more seasonable cold around 30 degrees is likely by Thursday.
