Forecast Discussion

A strong troughing pattern has developed in our area, bringing in much cooler temperatures and more cloudy skies today. Today will be more of a gloomy day, but no rain is expected. These conditions, alongside more breezy winds, will continue into tonight. A few small breaks in clouds are possible overnight, but for the most part, another dark night is in store. In the morning of Monday, a few showers are possible as well, but these will taper off by the late morning, however.

Pressure still remains somewhat lower into Monday, and mostly cloudy skies will linger, becoming partly cloudy by the later afternoon. Temperatures still are chilly, but a smaller and more gradual warming pattern will take hold for the rest of this week. As the trough weakens, a more zonal pattern will develop, making for more partly cloudy skies through the mid-week. By Thursday, temperatures in the upper 70s are possible once more. Don’t get used to this, though, as a weaker trough moves in alongside some more rain for the end of the week.
