Forecast Discussion

A strong high pressure system is the dominant weather pattern over the region at the moment, and is the culprit behind the pleasant end to our week we’re expecting. Clear skies and a slight warming trend should be in the cards for us as we head into the weekend. A slight temperature drop-off is expected tonight, though, but we’ll get right back to warming up following the passage of a weak cold front.

There’s some possibility for some morning time fog due to the rapid cooling at nighttime, any fog that occurs should not persist very long past daybreak, but could be an issue for anybody with a morning commute. Weather is expected to turn a little more unpleasant Friday evening, when a low pressure system will approach from the South. Depending on the strength and track of this low, we could see differing weather this weekend, but as of now model suggest the low dissipating before reaching Southern Ohio, and we’ll only be hit with a couple of rain bands Sunday around midday.
