Another occluded surface low is making its way into the Ohio Valley. Enhanced upper-level flow will bring moisture allowing for showers and possibly some thunder through tonight, but tomorrow a Marginal Risk (1/5) for severe weather is in place from the SPC due to strong instability, moisture, and sufficient wind shear to bring another all-hazards possible event. Storms are expected to fire off of a cold front moving through tomorrow through Thursday morning. As of now, it looks like we will have mainly a risk for winds and damaging hail, but with increased low-level wind shear a tornado or two with this setup cannot be ruled out, especially with storms that can maintain a cellular discrete nature.

As we have had to stress lately, PLEASE have a plan in place in case of severe weather, and remain weather aware even on seemingly low-risk days.

Through the long term, some clearing will happen on Thursday only for clouds and showers to return Friday into Saturday as a secondary cold front moves in to cool things off even further. Thankfully, temperatures won’t drop too much so it will still feel nice outside!
