The National Weather Service in Charleston, West Virginia has issued a Winter storm warning in effect from 7am Saturday to 7am Monday. Between 7 and 12 inches of snow is expected to fall, with very little ice accumulation possible. This potent system will make travel very hazardous from Saturday night through the start of the workweek.

Tonight, a Cold weather advisory is in effect from 8pm this evening to 10am this Saturday. Very cold windchills of down to 12 below is possible. Clouds will slowly begin to increase, especially after midnight. As we get into tomorrow, high temperatures will peak up to 17 degrees. Snow will begin to fall around 6pm and continue throughout the night and into Sunday. Looking into the new week, very cold temperatures are possible Monday night, with high temperatures averaging in the teens and 20s throughout the whole week, allowing the snow to stick around.
