Forecast Discussion

Due to the continued rain showers, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Athens County, this will last until 2 am tonight. Please stay weather aware and avoid traveling on flooded roadways.

The rain will also continue into this weekend causing us to be under a marginal (1/4) risk of excessive rainfall tonight and a slight (2/4) risk Saturday and Sunday. We are also under a marginal (1/5) risk for severe weather on Saturday. With this weekend being an active weather weekend please be aware of conditions like small hail, high winds, and localized flooding.

Outside of the rain we can expect lows to stay in the upper 60s and low 70s plus foggy conditions to settle in tonight as well which should clear up by mid morning on Saturday. The showers should begin to ease up on Monday, creating a beautiful start to our week with quick dry spell and warming trend.
