Forecast Discussion
Smoke and haze from Canadian wildfires are expected again today, we are once again under an Air Quality Alert. Conditions will slowly improve throughout the day though as winds will begin to shift. As the smoke exits, chances for showers and thunderstorms with severe potential will enter the region.
Saturday poses our highest risk for severe weather with a threat for damaging wind gusts as well as a chance of brief tornadoes in the line of storms. We are under a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather on Saturday for this reason. As the storms exit temperatures will cool briefly into the low 80s on Sunday before we kick off a warming trend before our next system on Tuesday.
