Forecast Discussion
High-pressure continues to be a prominent feature for the remainder of this week and into the weekend. High temperatures will remain steady in the upper-80s, but with overnight lows still in the mid-50s. While a cold front associated with a surface low-pressure system, we will hardly see any relief come from it. Though, we thankfully may seem some cloud development from this cold front, allowing some shade from the intense sun this weekend. With prominent zonal flow aloft, stable conditions will only continue. As we have mentioned previously, no relief will be seen from the D0 drought Athens County is experiencing, and without a significant rainfall event, we aren’t likely to crawl out of it anytime soon.
