An Air Quality Alert has been issued for our area in effect from 7 am until Midnight tonight.

The hazy skies will be the main event over the next 48 hours as the smoke will create poor visibility and bad air quality. Expect the smoke to start clearing out of our area by midday on Friday.

Over this stretch, we can still expect highs in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s with the chance of rain and thunderstorms returning Friday night, as we could see an isolated shower or two.

Saturday, we are currently under a Slight (2/5) Risk for severe weather, with our main threats being damaging wind and large hail. Along with this, we are under a Marginal (1/4) Risk of excessive rainfall, as we could see a quarter of an inch of rainfall with locally higher amounts if under a thunderstorm.

We will see the rain taper off Sunday morning before a beautiful start to the work week.
