Athens has been placed under a limited risk (level 1 out of 3) for lightning for Wednesday and Thursday. We do expect a break from this risk on Friday but it should be back for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Athens has also been placed under a limited risk (level 1 out of 4) for excessive rainfall for Wednesday. That risk is expected to increase to an elevated risk (level 2 out of 4) for Thursday. The risk is then expected to decrease to no risk at all on Friday.

There is a small chance for precipitation for tonight. During the daytime on Wednesday we don’t expect any chances of precipitation. Moving into Wednesday night into Thursday we do have high chances for showers and thunderstorms. Flooding may be a concern in flood prone and low lying areas. Daytime temperatures are expected to fluctuate from the high 80s to the high 70s on Thursday due to the storms. Nighttime temperatures are expected to fluctuate from the low 60s to the low 70s. A gentle breeze is expected over the next couple of days.
