The National Weather Service in Charleston, WV has put much of southeastern Ohio under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 am to 10 am Tuesday. This advisory comes with the risk of freezing rain during this time, possibly leading to slippery sidewalks, roads, and bridges during your morning commute. This brief instance of freezing rain will quickly transition into rain as the sun begins to rise, and temperatures start to warm up. If you intend to be out early Tuesday morning, please use caution when getting onto the roads during this time. Rain is expected for much of the day Tuesday, briefly calming down around the early afternoon, before picking back up late afternoon into the evening. By the evening hours, it is expected that this may be when rainfall could be its heaviest, so it may be best to prepare for some heavy downpours over a large area of southeastern Ohio.

Thankfully, by late Tuesday into Wednesday, this rain system will move out of the area, leaving Wednesday dry and warmer. Thursday will remain mostly dry, but by late evening and through Friday, we may see rain pick back up once more as another system rolls through. While uncertainties still remain, there is a growing likelihood for rain to return Friday.
