Athens County is currently under a Level 2 Snow Emergency! Driving is strongly discouraged unless absolutely necessary!

The snow will begin to exit our region clearing by mid-to-late morning. However, road conditions may still be poor due to snow blowing onto roadways so be sure to drive with caution today. The National Weather Service still has us in a Winter Weather Advisory until 1 pm given the snowfall and light ice accumulation from this system.

For the remainder of the week we can expect highs in the mid-to-upper 30s with some sunshine beginning on Wednesday and sticking around until the end of the work week.
