Forecast Discussion

Today, we’re experiencing a weak high pressure system, which alongside some southwesterly flow into the region, we’re going to experience both a nice warm-up and extremely dry weather today. Fire season here in Southeast Ohio is still going on, and so be extra careful since the NWS in Charleston has issued a Special Weather Statement for the region, citing enhanced fire danger. Please be careful if you plan on burning things today!

Following today, we’ll have a spell of some warmer weather following a weak warm front. This causes some moisture in the area tonight, which should cause some rain which will likely miss the region. We’ll have a warmer, but cloudier day tomorrow, and then a cold front will push through the region and cause a persistent chance of rain through the end of the week. This cold front isn’t quite as potent, and we won’t see temperatures as low as we’ve seen through the weekend and beginning of this week.
