The National Weather Service in Charleston, WV has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from Friday 12:00AM EST to Friday 7:00PM EST.
Conditions will remain cold throughout the afternoon as the extreme “polar vortex” begins to move out of the area. Clouds will build throughout the evening, with snowfall possibly starting between 11pm and 1 am. 2-4 inches of snowfall are expected overnight; following the snowfall, high pressure will set in, leading to temperatures in the 40s on Saturday and 50s on Sunday.
