Forecast Discussion

A cold front will bring a reinforcing shot of cold air to the region this evening and snow showers. There is a decent amount of moisture in the dendritic growth zone, so snow showers can be expected to be off and on throughout the evening. Accumulations will be minimal at best, with most areas seeing less than a half an inch of accumulation. However, untreated surfaces will become slippery. A similar day is in store tomorrow, with high temperatures only making it to the mid 20s again. A system will bring rain and snow to the region Thursday Night into Friday. Details are still being ironed out with this system, but as of now it looks like an inch or snow may be possible before a transition to rain. A warm up is expected this weekend along with rain throughout the region.
