Forecast Discussion
Northwest flow will result in temperatures returning to near the seasonal average. High temperatures tomorrow will be about 5-10 degrees cooler than today due to the cold air advection associated with the northwesterly flow. A ridge of high pressure will build into the region as a strong mid-latitude cyclone deepens over the central Plains. Locally this storm will bring the chance of rain Wednesday night into Thursday with the warm frontal passage, however recent model runs show the a lack of moisture. The cold front will pass through the region late Thursday night into Friday morning bringing the chance for rain showers and a thunderstorm before the region cools down behind the frontal passage on Saturday.
