Forecast Discussion
A bit of rain is expected tonight as Athens dips into the low 40s this evening; a low-pressure system is situated just southeast of the area, with a cold front in the northwest expected to move through north-central Ohio overnight. Any showers in the area are expected to dissipate by Saturday morning as a region of high pressure is expected to enter the area, where it will remain for the remainder of the weekend and early next week. Another cold front is expected to pass through early afternoon Sunday, but thankfully is not expected to affect Sunday’s temperatures too much, as Sunday has a high temperature of 56º.
Rain is not expected to come back into the area until late Monday night and all of Tuesday, so be sure to bring an umbrella! Tuesday’s rain will be accompanied by another low-pressure system, which also brings two back-to-back cold fronts, causing a chillier Wednesday. Wednesday will only reach the high 40s, with a low of 27º.
