Forecast Discussion

Calm conditions are expected to greet us overnight, however, the chance for showers and thunderstorms return Monday as a surface low-pressure system sits over northern Ohio. These showers are not expected to be severe, and are likely to be brief pop-ups, especially as the temperature could soar near 90. Thankfully, conditions are expected to stabilize once more Monday night through Tuesday evening as relatively zonal flow aloft dominates the region. However, the chance for showers and storms could return by mid-week and throughout the remainder of the work week. Yet another low-pressure system will develop and push eastward towards Ohio, and as it follows an upper-level low aloft, it could remain over the region bringing us rain for the remainder of the week into the weekend. Still, many of these showers and possibly storms are likely to be scattered and localized at this time.
