Forecast Discussion
Temperatures these next few days will continue to climb as we remain under high-pressure at the surface and a ridge at the upper-level. Both of these patterns contribute to the clear skies and elevated temperatures into the upper 80s on Thursday and Friday. With no rain in the immediate forecast, we are observing D0 (Abnormally Dry) drought conditions with the expectation for conditions to worsen. With these clear skies we will also see high UV index levels with peaks between 10:00am and 4:00pm the next few days and into the weekend. The lack of cloud coverage into the evening will cause nighttime temperatures to drop into the 50s. The beginning of the week next week will bring the first day of fall and with it a slow decline in temperatures (although not quite at the fall-like conditions we are used to yet) and an increase in cloud coverage.
