Another hot and sunny day is in store for us today as we will expect a high of 90 degrees. We will have a brief cooldown back into the low- to mid- 80s; however, we will begin warming back into the upper 80s by the end of the week. We will have some increased cloud cover tonight and Tuesday night, otherwise, sunny days and clear nights are expected for the remainder of the week.

The majority of Athens is still in a D0 (Abnormally Dry) drought status, with eastern portions of the county starting to transition to D1 (Moderate Drought) according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. This is updated every Thursday, and we will update you of any changes as soon as we can.
